  1. In English, at least, a space between words (or the absence of a hyphen) can certainly change the meaning. Here, does the sign refer to a building material ('drywall') or the moisture level in a wall.

    My favorite examples involve the hyphen: 'baby on board' and 'head in parkingj'.
