What do you think - does Billy Mumy now go by "Bill" Mumy, or "William" Mumy? Someone out there must know the answer to this question, and many other, similarly trivial, questions.
That such a person might actually exist, of course brings up an even more pressing question: How frightened should we be of such a person?

Here's yet another reason why I'll never buy an Apple product. For a company that once portrayed purveyors of PCs as mind-controlling dictators out of 1984, they're doing a damn fine job of censoring what people have access to. Thank heaven they're not the only supplier out there.

And, speaking of bridges, I just got home from a fun evening at a fund-raiser for these nice folks. I was a volunteer, rather than a dinner attendee (though I did get to snag a bit of the food). Met lots of nice people. And managed to get myself a nifty Japanese urn, made by a local artist, in the silent auction. Then, the set had to be struck. Fold those chairs and tables! Fold those table cloths. Take down that backdrop, those pillars...... You get the idea. Still, heck of a good time.
If you've got a spare buck or two, you could do worse things with it than send the dough to these people.

Just got "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest," yesterday. It's a miracle I'm even taking the time to post this.
In other, bleakly humourous news, I took my bike in for maintenance a couple of days ago, and picked it up today. It's an old bike - a 1988 Fisher Pro-Caliber. A quick bit of math shows that I've been riding it for 22 years. Over that time I think it's cost me at most five hundred bucks in maintenance. Eat your hearts out, car owners. But, that's not the bleakly humourous bit. Nope. That part's the remark the mechanic made when he called to tell me the bike was ready. "Ready to go for another 22 years," he said, cheerfully. I was riding home when the penny finally dropped - "Oh, great. I'll be 80." Time flies when you're having fun, doesn't it?

Just a question, nothing to do with the photo: why isn't Chrissie Hynde a lot more famous than she is? She really ought to be.
