Years ago there was a bumper sticker/general slogan going around - "What Would __ Do?" (or something like that). The reason for the "__" is that I can't actually remember the guy's name now. But, he was, as I recall, a big-wave surfer. That's a pass time that takes courage (and not a little craziness, it seems to me), and this guy was one of its leading practitioners. Apparently there wasn't a wave that he wouldn't try to ride. The exhortation contained in the slogan, then, is to face the challenge and go at it with everything you've got.

So, Democrats: "What Would Barney Do?"
